Self Evaluation on Party With Death

I think I deserve a 8 in Criterion A: Knowledge because I’m pretty proud of my work but there are faults. I think I have a thorough and accurate summary of the activities we did in class. I just wrote down all I could remember from class. I know I have a complete and correct list of concepts covered during class because I fixed my definition for consequences after I read Ho-Hsuan’s comment. This unit’s concepts and vocabulary was a bit challenging to me, so making a connection between the concepts and the activities was also a bit challenging and I’m not confident in this category. My real world connection was a fun topic to talk about and I enjoyed researching and writing it. But, I did not use a website that directly stated the costs, incentives, and consequences of the Harry Potter movies. I read the Production Notes I found on the Harry Potter website and while reading most (it was VERY long) of it, I inferred the costs, incentives, and consequences … I wanted to talk about this topic but I couldn’t find an article about the Harry Potter movies AND the economic concepts, so all the things I wrote about were my inferences. That is why I couldn’t fully develop it. I wrote one good thing and one bad thing while commenting on Ho-Hsuan and Yurika’s blog posts.

For Criterion D: Organization and Presentation, I think I deserve a 6. I give myself a 6 because I wrote too much about the history of the Black Death epidemic. It was too long compared to how much I wrote for the activity we did, as Yurika said in her comment. Whenever I learn something new in history it captivates me so much that I simply want to tell the world everything I learned about to the last detail. When it comes to history, it is hard for me to summarize it into a short and concise paragraph. In my first blog entry, I felt that my organization was well developed and logical, and I used the same structure here, so I am confident in organization. I’m not very confident in presentation because I’m not sure if the perfect mix of humor and seriousness is incorporated in the blog post. My weak spot in the last blog was that I had too much humor. I really tried hard to tone down my humor but still have a glimmer of it, so I only joked in the very beginning and the very end. But this might’ve made the middle of my entry a little boring. (I found it really hard trying not to be funny…!) I used NoodleTools to organize my resources and then I took a screen shot of the bibliography on that website. I trust NoodleTools to reference my resources in the right convention.
